About Toto

Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also famous studio musicians with Boz Scaggs) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. The name of the group came from the Latin word that means "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore all styles of music.

Toto's third release, Turn Back, was not a success in 1981. However they came back with their fourth release, Isolation, which contained two songs that were hits, including the title song and Roseanna. The album and tour make them a household name throughout the world.
