Inline Lever/Lever

A lever/lever handle is a contemporary bifold door handle replacement handle that is designed to fit new or replacement doors. The uPVC/Composite door handles are made of robust materials and are suitable for doors with multi-point locks that require a strong design. The handles are inline, and use the same screws and spindle to secure them. They are easily fitted on a new or existing uPVC/Composite door.

The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be positioned and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles. This helps to ensure the quality of the finish as well as the performance of the handle over time. The lever that is sprung can be shortened to fit more locks. This is particularly beneficial in doors with smaller door frames where the cylinder is further back. A shortened lever can also be used on doors with a latch that can be activated with the thumb on the inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle differs from the lever handles that are commonly found on doors. These handles for internal bifold doors are operated by one spindle, or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are usually used on UPVC double-glazed doors and come in a variety of styles and styles.

The handles are available in a variety of finishes, including White chrome and Gold. The finish is in line with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, thereby giving the handle a high level of durability and performance for the intended use.

Cylinder locks are typically found on uPVC doors, but can also be used on other types of doors. They operate by using a key that unlock a cylinder case which will reveal pins that can be aligned to those in the lock body and allowing them to turn the cam, thereby opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with internal and external doors generally having different levels of security.

The choice of cylinder you choose is vital. It is based on the amount of use your doors and handles will receive. Doors that are external, for instance should be equipped with higher security cylinders and internal doors can be secured using an ordinary cylinder. Certain cylinders are equipped with additional features that increase security, for instance, anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

A euro cylinder needs to be measured correctly to ensure that it is the right size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the hole for fixing screws in the middle to the other end of the cylinder and the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place however when this isn't possible, you may take it off to measure. It is essential to not have a cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.

Most newer cylinders have been constructed with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. These features are designed to minimize the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This will help to stop the attack and ensure your doors are secure.

There are also cylinders designed to withstand snapping. This is a more frequent type of attack on cylinders, where the break line inside the lock is targeted with a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to open. This is a much faster and easier way to gain access than a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the break-in which can hinder insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is located in the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to help return your multipoint lock handles back to their normal position after use. The handles had no spring and would droop when the locking mechanism was removed. This component is the best way to solve this issue. It also helps prevent your door from getting stuck in either the closed or open position, as they aren't easy to close manually.

These spring cassettes are specifically designed for use with multipoint locks that are sprung, they will not fit multipoint handles that are not sprung and you will need to have a hole specifically cut in the backplate to allow them to fit (please check the image for a technical diagram). These cassettes are a solution to broken or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They have an elongated square that allows for an 8mm spindle to be used and are sold as a set.

These spring cassettes provide a great value solution to the issue of door handles that are sagging. They are simple to put in and will prolong the lifespan of your uPVC doors.
