Albums

The discography of the American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as several compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.

Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 following the collaboration.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985 the group's lead singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group The band held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special album called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans, and Toto began a tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

Shem von Schröck took over Leland Sklar as drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

Toto is an American rock group that was formed in 1977 in Van Nuys, Greater Los Angeles. During the tour Bobby Kimball, the lead singer, was arrested on drug charges. The band decided to let him leave at the end of the tour, and they hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams in his place. David Hungate, the drummer, also left the group following the tour. Leland Sklar was his replacement.

The TOTO Museum is an impressive modern building with a variety of rooms devoted to telling the story of the company and its most innovative product. The exhibits include toilets, faucets and tableware that have contributed to the growth of the TOTO brand over the last half century. The museum hosts special exhibits all year round.
